Breakfast and lunch will be available on Saturday and Sunday, September 10 & 11th for a donation.

Suggested donations are as follows:

Breakfast: $7 consisting of local, backyard/pasture-raised hard-boiled eggs, fruit, raw yogurt and organic sourdough toast with pastured butter or ghee and cream cheese. Beverages offered will include hot tea, filtered water and kombucha. 

Lunch: $12 consisting of soup or stew from local, pasture-raised chickens and vegetables, salad, fruit, homemade dressing, organic sourdough bread and pastured butter or ghee. Beverages will include filtered water, herbal tea and kombucha. 

If you choose not to have lunch or breakfast, please bring a brown bag lunch. When event fees are paid, you will receive confirmation of your payment and menu offerings.

Instructor bios:

Jennifer Crawford, Zen Riot

Yoga Instructor, Thai Yoga Bodywork

Jenn Crawford is a certified Yoga instructor and owner of Zen Riot Studio. She aims to create a community that is united by leading healthy, happy, body positive lifestyles. The motto at Zen Riot is “Yoga for Every Body”, and it is something Jenn is very passionate about. Yoga is not about putting your body into shapes, it is about taking your body and mind out of the shapes that society and the modern world has put you in and creating space inside to foster, honor and grow the love within. Jenn received her RYT200 hour certificate with Core Power yoga in Huntington Beach, and her Barre Yoga Certification with Above the Barre. Jenn also offers Traditional Native Healing techniques and Thai Yoga Bodywork at the studio. She looks forward to meeting, practing with and guiding the wonderful people in neighborhood!

Jacqui Crawford, Zen Riot

Jacq is a Blissful Life Enthusiast to the fullest extent. She aims to create a community that can focus on the positive benefits of living a healthy, natural lifestyle. She is motivated by everyone she meets to connect,  grow and thrive within her self and wants to share that with our community. Jacq finds her passion in energy and body work, creating “Sacred Waves” an integrated therapy which includes Reiki, body balancing and lymphatic stimulation. Her intention is to help others create alignment in their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves, thus making the space to thrive in all areas of being.

Jennifer Duckett, Tapped at The Healing Hut

Jennifer Duckett, EFT Practitioner and Reiki Master, has pursued individual excellence in self-love and the disciplines of EFT and Reiki since 2010. She specializes in helping clients embrace their emotions and assists in re-programming the brain to benefit from directive self-worth, self-love, and enjoy the beauty that life brings.

Lynette Daudt, LaC Acupuncture for Everyone

Lynette has studied many methods of alternative medicine and personal development. All have their place but the philosophy and efficacy of Chinese medicine speaks loudly to her. As a Licensed Acupuncturist she has practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for 16 years — first in California, then Texas and now beautiful Boise.

McKenzie Joyner, Sprouting Vitality

Mckenzie is an energetic, driven & passionate woman who holds a degree in Health Promotion & Education with a minor in nutrition from the University of Utah. She also studied in Apicius, Florence at the Culinary Arts institute for little over a year, and attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City to become a Certified Holistic Health Consultant. She also completed her yoga teaching certification at the University of Utah as well as doula teaching certification. She has found doula training to be complimentary for many of her yoga students and has allowed her to support clients through delivery and post natal care.  In her spare time she enjoys travel, new inspiration, reading books, recipes, blog posts and tasting as many delicious foods as possible.

Jon Knudson, GAPS Practitioner and Chef, Ancient Superfoods

Jon is a GAPS Practitioner who has been trained in how the health of the gut interfaces with the body. he uses food as thy medicine to heal all kinds of chronic conditions ranging from allergies and auto-immune conditions to autism. He is trained by chef Monica Corrado of Simply Being Well who is an honorary board member of the Weston A. Price Foundation and Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride, M.D., author of Gut and Psychology Syndrome, otherwise known as the GAPS Diet.

Dan Meyer, Morning Owl Farm

Dan began working on the farm in 2010 as an apprentice under Mary Rohlfing. In 2012, Dan took over the business and has been the solo farmer since. The next chapter in Morning Owl Farm will be to join up with some fresh hands to reboot the CSA and reinvigorate the farm.

Robin Riger

Robin is a Southwest Idaho Native, who wandered away for awhile after college to live in Northern California (Bay Area), and Southwest Germany, before returning home in 2008. Her career in the Human/Social Service field has provided opportunities to work with several diverse populations, including, children, youth, adults, and military families. She currently works as an Advocate and non-clinical case manager for severely wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers throughout the State of Idaho. In her personal life, she enjoys camping, gardening, sewing, cooking, genealogy, as well as researching and practicing holistic health. She lives in Boise with her husband of 13 years, Don, and their 2 dogs: Chief, a cuddly, sweet and bouncy Labrador Retriever, and Jed, a 93 pound Chesapeake Bay Retriever who loves to smile, give hugs, and pretend that he is much smaller than he is when he tries to sit in your lap.

Raine Saunders, Heal Your Gut With Food

An Idaho native, Raine Saunders is an author, educator, and architect of the Warm Springs Wellness Event. She has worked in the wider and local holistic health communities for 10 years, wearing many hats including content developer and creator of Agriculture Society (.com) and Heal Your Gut With Food (.com), event organizer, class instructor, and social media manager. She is a passionate advocate for education about local and sustainable food as well as traditional, nutrient-dense diets for the purposes of addressing and resolving chronic health issues.

Jennifer Whitney, CHN, CGP, CHC Restoring Nutrition

Jennifer Whitney is a Certified Wholistic Nutritionist, Certified Health Coach, and Certified Gaps Practitioner. She graduated from the Wellspring School for Healing Arts in 2011, and has been trained in Western and Eastern nutrition, the Gaps program, weight loss, applied kinesiology, desensitization techniques, and different types of cooking methods to heal the body. She regularly appeared on The Doctor Michael Show from 2013 to 2014, teaching custom recipes and occasionally giving interviews on different nutritional topics such as the Gaps diet. As a nutritionist, she offers nutritional coaching along with personalized step by step nutritional programs designed to assist the body in healing from many types of chronic disorders. She currently runs her own nutritional practice, Restoring Nutrition in downtown Boise Idaho.

In this class, discover why and how healing foods can repair gut damage and resolve chronic health issues. Participants will take home 3-4 samples of foods we will prepare as well as be provided access to additional resources to help you achieve success on your healing path.

Some of the guiding principles this of class are based on the information found in Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride’s book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS).  Although not mandatory, reading this book will enhance your learning experience in this class.

Choose from one of 2 available classes to learn how and why to make healing foods for improved gut and overall health. If less than 6 participants sign up, I will combine classes. 

Each class is independent. In each class, we will discuss GAPS, a healing protocol, but it will not be as in-depth as the GAPS two-part session workshop I am offering in February (see Past Events below the description for this class).

Learn why and how healing foods can repair gut damage and resolve chronic health issues with this informative workshop. As a participant, you will take home samples of foods we will prepare, as well as have access to additional resources to help you achieve success on your healing path.

The principles of this workshop are based on the information found in Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride’s book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS).  Although it is not mandatory to read, your understanding of the content in this book will enhance your workshop experience.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is COMPRISED OF TWO SESSIONS happening Saturday February 21st and 28th.

Fee: $60 for both sessions.
